Carole and Kirsten discovered they had an awesome synergy when working together on the set of ‘Beautiful Woman’. Fuelled by the same passion and different strengths they agreed to start their own production company, Lumiere Cine Productions.
Kirsten Maxwell – Co Producer
Kirsten Maxwell comes from a strong Marketing and Sales background working for Large Corporates in South Africa, including Nedbank where she won their “Going for Gold” award for best Insurance Sales person. She has built up a body of writing work from Company Newsletters to their Vision and Mission statements, to Script Writing for Stage. She also devoted 7 years of her life in South Africa to working with teens, getting involved in projects to educate and impact teens through many avenues, including Media and the Performing Arts. When she moved to Australia she did Event Management for Charles Kovess which was a good platform to go into Producing film. Recently, Kirsten completed a short course in Adobe After Effects and was videographer working for BP Australia’s Elite Media team.
Carole Owens – Co Producer
Carole Owens trained in Digital TV and Screen Production at TAFE and Digital Television Production at JMC Academy, Melbourne. She has also attended a number of courses at the VCA Summer School including Producing and Directing. Carole’s credits include the production of a DVD for Piping Hot Brass; an information video Understanding Radiotherapy for Breast Cancer; documentaries including Living with a Stutter and Wedding videos. Carole has also been involved in the filming and editing of Theatre Productions, amongst them The Call and Mother Courage and her Children. Carole has entered short film competitions with Where’s my lunch?, coming in the top 14 and has been involved recently in a short film called Beautiful Woman. Carole has also built up an extensive folio of editing in features, short films and promotional DVD’s. Most recently, she has been involved as the editor of a feature film Escape to Entrapment. She has gained valuable experience working in a team and independently through her work as a Radiation Therapist.
